Frequently Asked Questions

Select a question from the list below.

Does NETS pick-up from any other city other than from Bedford, Euless, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Keller and North Richland Hills?

No, but because NETS is funded with both state and federal grants, service cannot be limited to residents of the seven participating cities. Therefore a non-resident, disabled and/or 65 and over, may schedule a trip as long as the trip starts and ends in the NETS service area.

Will NETS accept my trip request if I need an emergency trip the same day or next day?

No. NETS does not provide trips for emergency purposes. Please call 911 if you are in need of immediate assistance. NETS provides trips to those that have requested trips at least 48 hours in advance.

What are your normal hours of operation?

Hours of operation are from 6am to 6pm, weekdays only.

What qualifies me to use the NETS program?

You must be over the age of 65 and/or be disabled.

Does NETS provide trips on holidays?

For the most part, NETS is closed on national holidays. Please see the calendar by clicking on the “Calendar” tab for days that NETS is not operating.

Who do I need to contact for information about NETS?

It depends on the information you are looking for. If you have a question about scheduling a trip, please contact the NETS mainline at (817)-336-8714. If you have a question regarding NETS administration, please contact any one of the following:

Billy Owens

Carla Forman
Trinity Metro

Are ramps provided to help me get into a NETS van with ease?

Yes, ramps are available. All vehicles are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible for passengers with special needs.

What is the fare for a one-way trip?

A one-way trip is $3.25. Pre-paid tickets are sold in books of 10 for your convenience. Each pre-paid ticket book costs $32.50.

What is the fare for my personal medical attendant?

If a personal care attendant is required to ride with you for medical reasons, the attendant rides for free.

What if I need a trip the same day every week?

That would be considered subscription service. If you will be making the same trip the same day of the week, please notify the reservationist so that subscription service can be arranged. NETS may terminate subscription service that is cancelled fifty percent (50%) of the time or more during any thirty (30) day period.
